Q. What are Pre-existing Diseases? Pre-exisiting diseases are conditions, ailments, injuries, or diseases for which any signs or symptoms leading to an illness or medical condition are presented when the policy is proposed.

What is considered a pre-existing condition under a health insurance policy?Under Care Freedom, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high BMI (Body Mass Index) is considered as pre-existing conditions. We provide medical and non-medical coverage for these conditions after the specified waiting period, subject to policy terms.

Q. Do I need to bear co-payment under the Care Freedom policy?Yes, as a standard, people with pre-existing ailments need to bear 20 or 30% of the final claim amount payable. We shall pay the remaining amount up to the sum insured. However, you may opt for a co-payment waiver benefit by paying a slighty higher premium according to policy terms and conditions.
